JOIN YOUR RBA DIETITIANS FOR A GROCERY STORE TOUR

 Having a quick and easy grocery store stop on the ride home from work can turn into quite a task at the end of a long day.  First you have to get your list together then once you have arrive at the store you might compare pricing, bring in coupons, travel aisle by aisle, wait in the deli line, and ultimately end your trip at the register.  But what about the time it takes to make sure the items in your cart are items that are healthy and nutritious? At RBA we know it takes a lot of nutrition education in order to pick the right items and brands you need to feed your family nutritious food and meals, and sometimes there just isn’t time to read all of the nutrition labels.  We can help!  We will be offering a grocery store tour of our local Safeway, off of Greenbelt Road, on August 3^rd from 6-7:30 pm.  

During your tour we will give you the knowledge you need to successfully navigate your way around the supermarket and load your cart with all the items on your list while picking nutritious foods. 

• We can guide you to high fiber and low sugar cereals. 
• Help you find soups and sauces that are low in fat and sodium. 
• Get you started finding the best whole grain foods.
• Give you ideas of smart and healthy snacks.
• Show you how to pick out fruits and vegetables in season and when they are at their peak of freshness. 
• We will guide you through the aisles of frozen meals and treats.
