Ok so there’s 55 days left until The Baltimore Marathon (race day) and I know I have been leaving you guys in the dark lately. I have no excuses to offer you (don’t believe in them) but rather I will just an update you. My longest run is up to 15 miles now and I’m averaging between 35- 40 miles per week. My 7 milers (a typical week day run for me) are getting faster but I can’t seem to drastically increase my speed for my long runs.
With about two months left its crunch time! I have definitely given myself some relaxation time up until this week, I traveled to Alaska, had a birthday, and basically took some time to enjoy my summer. However, with summer winding down, classes beginning next week, and the race growing closer everyday I am ready to train harder. I have mapped out a schedule for my remaining long runs until the race:
Thursday August 25th: 12 miles
Friday September 2nd 14 miles
Friday September 9th 16 miles
Friday September 16th 8 miles
Friday September 23rd 18 miles
Friday September 30th 20 miles
October 7th 8 20 miles
Saturday October 15th race day: 26.2 miles
Friday October 8th 8 miles
Look out for my progress as I post my detailed Garmin Report with times/ and locations of my run as I complete these long runs!
P.S. I am at 47% of my fundraising goal for BEDA! Please please help me reach it by race day! You can check out the cause and donate online at: Amy’s BEDA Fundraising Page !
