Passion, commitment, confidence, and dedication are just a few traits that describe the qualities of a great dietitian. At Rebecca Bitzer and Associate the dietitians and students each have their own story that lead them to a mutual understanding of how essential nutrition is to living life to its fullest. We have a shared mission to continually learn the latest research, empower our clients and coworkers, and spread nutritional information to our community to better the lives of others.

Recently, we were contacted by Nate Baker, the founder of Soccer Means More, a company whose mission is to provide Maryland-area youth soccer players of all backgrounds the elite training, mentoring and self-belief to prosper on and off the field. Nate kindly requested RBA’s partnership in giving back to the Prince George’s County Community through a health and wellness fair entitled  the “SocMM Workshop,” to promote sports nutrition to young athletes. After meeting with Nate we recognized his passion and were aligned with his mission in developing both the social and psychological components of young athletes by providing them with the tools to lead a healthy lifestyle. We are excited to be a part of the “SocMM Workshop,” taking place on November 5th at Holy Trinity Episcopal Day School (Glenn Dale, MD) from 1:00 to 4:00 pm . We look forward to working with Soccer Means More to enhance the nutritional knowledge of young athletes allowing them to be successful on and off the field.

The workshop is open to any family who is interested, but the first 200 children (ages 7-17) who register at soccermeansmore.org will get to participate in the on-the-field activities with the SocMM coaching staff and professional players from around the area.  Please go to soccermeansmore.org for more information on the Fall Workshop (or follow on twitter (@soccermeansmore) or like us on our Facebook page.
