today again, March 21: 20 minute after dinner power walk with my husband. When I was in the lead, he asked me of I was full of energy. No, I replied, I am not, I have already been this way twice before this today! However, the air was lovely and I could not resist when he asked me to walk with him.

Sarah Costello March 21, 2010

Yesterday(3/20), I walked around Cenntennial Lake with a friend… 2.5 miles! It took me about an hour to do.

Sarah Costello March 21, 2010

Today, 3/21, I did a 5K with my mom and aunt. I convinced them to do it! It was exciting to be apart of a a race. All (except for a few of us) ran it. I walked it mostly with occasional jogging. I jogged more today than I ever have in my life!

I am ending my one gym membership so have been looking for a new place to do boot camp… today I did a trial class right near my house. 1 hour of boot camp – 9:45-10:45. I am doing a one week trial to see if this is something I am truly interested in.

Tonight, I meet with the trainer so that will be another hour of getting my butt in gear :)

Monday, the 22nd, was my 50th birthday, so I wanted to go to the gym and feel grateful for my good health. :)

So, I did a 60 minute weight training class.

Today, I was in Little Washington, VA and the town was so small (160 people in the entire town), I had to walk around the entire town to get in my 60 minutes of walking. It was a blissful place for a milestone birthday.

I highly recommend it to anyone celebrating a milestone birthday http://www.theinnatlittlewashington.com

When you wake up in the morning to the sound of the smoke alarm you are in for a not so great day. The way I LIKE to start my day, by asking myself what can I do today that will make this day the best day possible went by the wayside for look’in for the smoke! It was the furnace. I shut down the furnace, called the oil company and told them to please come in the afternoon. I did NOT tell them, please come in the afternoon I have plans to hit the gym this morning. So, I proceeded to the gym and got in some weight training and 30 minutes on the bike, the highlight of this almost over not so good day.

40 minutes out n the sunshine riding my bike today, what a beautiful day!

Melissa Kramer March 25, 2010

Hey now, wait just a minute here! I know it must be a bit of a nightmare to compile all of our scattered blog comments into a nice chart showing who did what exercise when…but I’d like the record corrected! Last week, week 3, I exercised *every single day*!! Monday through Saturday. Please double-check the comments (I just did)!

As for this week, self-care is taking a back burner because I am simultaneously selling a house and trying to buy one, and I am literally running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Sunday: nothing
Monday: nothing
Tuesday: 30 minutes on the stationary bike and climber combined, at the gym
Wednesday: spent at least 30 minutes carrying heavy boxes up the stairs, helping my fiance pack his van for an antiques show in MD. Does that count??

Tonight I am heading to the gym later than usual, but at least I’m going! Gotta get some of this nervous energy out.

kfortunato March 25, 2010

Sorry Melissa. I published the results that day last week. Congrats on all your hard work.

Sarah Costello March 25, 2010

Today I did a lot of walking the dog! :)

Kathe Kramer March 25, 2010

Lovely walk with husband this evening, 45 minutes. Not powering, just walking and enjoying!

Bobbi Boteler, RD, LD March 26, 2010

This week thus far: Monday-no activity, Tues- 75 min upper/lower body, abs and bike, Wed- 30 min walk outside during work break, Thurs-30 min Walk Away the Pounds on Demand, 10 min pilates/abs on Demand, Friday-60 min upper/lower body and abs.

Kathy Kendall March 26, 2010

Twice on the bike this week so far .. Made it 3 times last week.–30 minutes each time. You guys rock!

Kathe Kramer March 26, 2010

Friendly reminder, 3 of my exercises were not on the chart.
March 11 packing and cleaning all day in a house with 4 floors via spiral staircase!
March 19 40 min. bike ride

March 20 2 hours raking and turning garden over with pitchfork

March 21 20 minute bike ride and 40 minute walk

Do not envy the kind person compiling all the results, guess it’s a good thing there are not 50 of us! Many thanks to you all for doing this. I gave myself a personal challenge of at least 30 minutes EVERYday, so far, better than good!

Kathe Kramer March 26, 2010

today, March 26. Just by the hair of my chin. at 26 minutes on the bike my trainer came over to chat!! since I can not do 2 things at once, as in ride a bike and talk, I stopped, the bike stopped i lost all counts and threw in the towel. However, then i did about 20 minutes with free weights and the ball.

Admin March 27, 2010

Please make sure to log all of your exercise on this site asap. We are winding down to the home stretch.

Kait will be tallying up all the results this weekend and announcing the winners! I believe each of us who had the courage and dedication to post even once is a winner in my mind.

Thanks to all of you making your fitness a priority this month and encouraging all of us to do the same. It has certainly been fun for me to read your posts everyday!

Rebecca

Paull Evans March 27, 2010

Today i did two hour strength traing about 45 minutes total with all the talkiing about each exercise and now the instructor is ready to step it up a notch or two because we are going through the program faster. Tomorrow I will have to another work out than I will be finshed with 5 days yippie

Kathe Kramer March 27, 2010

Today I took a great but freezing bike ride. 45 minutes, got totally brain freezed and not from a Margarita, but it totally energized me at the same time!

Sarah Costello March 28, 2010

Yesterday I started my birthday off with a 5K… I am heading to the Biggest Loser Resort so I may not be able to log my activity – but I know I will be doing lots of it.

Kathe Kramer March 28, 2010

Sunday, March 28. I was lucky enough to have my daughter in town and we walked for about 35 minutes. Late this afternoon my husband and I walked for 20 minutes.

Paull Evans March 28, 2010

Sunday just barely made it in 30 minute workout video yippie I made through the challenge.

Kathe Kramer March 29, 2010

Is it over??

Admin March 29, 2010

Yes, the “official” contest is over. Kait will be announcing the winners later today or tomorrow. I appreciate all of your efforts and hope that you continue your own fitness challenges and goals! Feel free to keep posting them here as long as you like!

Kathe Kramer March 29, 2010

Waaaaaiiiitttttttt! I am not ready for it to be over. Today I rode the bike at the gym for 30 minutes, then I had a fitness class that was 1 hour and late this afternoon a 60 minute Yoga class. I guess I thought the challenge was for ALL of March, not just four weeks! My own personal challenge was to exercise at least 30 minutes everyday in March. I have 2 more days. And anyway, I think we should be democratic about it and vote about continuing through April! At any rate, I am accustomed to marching to my own drummer. Anyone??

Melissa Kramer March 30, 2010

Last two for week 4:

Saturday: 40 minutes on the eliptical and climber combined
Sunday: 30 minute power walk
